The American Red Cross in Connecticut and Rhode Island is pleased to present the party of the year, Mission: Possible 2021 on March 4. This virtual event will be a fun, interactive, family-friendly virtual experience. You’ll get to:
- Learn hands-on skills that could save a life
- Meet Community Impact Award recipients, and
- Hear from Red Cross volunteers about how you can get involved
The Hartford is the Mission: Possible Hope Sponsor. The Hartford has been a long-time supporter of the American Red Cross, hosting countless blood drives and supporting disaster relief. In addition, The Hartford’s Junior Fire Marshal Program and the Red Cross Home Fire Campaign share the goal of increasing preparedness in the event of a home fire. The Junior Fire Marshal Program teaches kids about fire prevention and what to do if one starts. It encourages kids to bring home lessons such as Matches and Lighters are for Grown-ups, Smoke Alarms are Important and Create and Practice a Home Fire Escape Plan to make the whole family safer.
“Our mission is to ensure that individuals and businesses are well-protected,” said The Hartford’s Head of Community Relations, AnnMarie LaBreck. “Through our support of the American Red Cross and their Home Fire Campaign, blood drives, and disaster relief, together we are helping communities across the country achieve higher levels of health and safety.”
Volunteers with the Red Cross Home Fire Campaign educate people about home fire safety and connect them with community resources that can provide free smoke alarms. The Red Cross responds to an average of 60,000 disasters each year, the vast majority of which are home fires. The Campaign works to help reduce the number of injuries and deaths due to home fires.
Thank you to The Hartford for their continued support of the Red Cross. Together, we will continue to make people safer. Learn more about the Red Cross Home Fire Campaign and The Hartford’s Junior Fire Marshal Program
